Stats #36: Statistical Evidence. Interviewing Other Witnesses.
Content: This class helps you assess the quality of the corroborating or supporting evidence for a research study. This class requires no mathematical background and uses no formulas.
Objectives: In this class you will learn how to:
- Explain why a strong association and a dose response relationship offer greater credibility to a research study.
- Show how a treatment that lacks specificity has less credibility.
- Document examples where conflicts of interest have led to biased research results.
Teaching strategies: Didactic lectures and small group exercises.
IRB Education Credits: This class qualifies for three (3) IRB Education Credits (IRBECs).
