P.Mean: Mail and calendar software I use in my new job (created 2008-07-23).
This page is moving to a new website.
When I was working for Children's Mercy Hospital, it made sense to use Microsoft Outlook for my email and calendaring system. Working, independently, however, I have more choices (more degrees of freedom, perhaps).
I tried an open source program, Mozilla Thunderbird, for my new email accounts, and it is just wonderful. The interface is simple and clean and it is easy to set it up with several different email accounts simultaneously. This price is good also (free).
There is an add-on for Thunderbird, called Lightning, which offers many calendaring functions. I will start investigating it today..
