I was part of a meeting trying to set up a new Center for Translational Research. It might not end up having that name, but it would be a center of some sort that would be involved with research of some sort that was translational in some way. Her are some of my thoughts on this center.

What exactly is translational research. My cynical definition is "dragging researchers kicking and screaming out of the ivory tower and bring them face-to-face with the people they are supposed to be helping." I was told that this needed a bit of polishing.
