Stats #41: Writing a Research Grant
Content: There are four things you should think about when writing a research grant:
- Theme
- Blueprint
- Legibility
- Perspective
Objectives: In this class, you will learn how to:
- develop and elaborate on new research ideas;
- write an appropriate research hypothesis;
- organize your proposal around a common theme;
- make your grant easily skimmable; and
- write from the perspective of the reviewer.
I will also provide copies of two (2) successfully funded research proposals for class discussion.
Teaching strategies: Didactic lectures and small group exercises.
This class does not qualify for IRB Education Credits (IRBECs).
